My entry to the Stylenoir Monarchy Contest.
I don't know why, but when I first read the theme, I thought "Monarchy... isn't there a butterfly called Monarch?" and then: "Ok, lets do something that would make Grimm brothers proud!" so I went with that idea
The spider queen in the drawing is camouflaging herself by wearing Monarch butterflies colors, but in reality she's a predator that waits to catch them (and other species that are enchanted by her looks) in her web... Dark and deceiving beauty.
